LAVISH LOVE: How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (I John 3:1 NIV)

About Becky Lyles

Though I know I can’t begin to describe the amazing love God showers on us, this blog will be an attempt to open our spiritual eyes to the many ways our Father spoils us each day. I’m not a priest or a pastor, so relax. I won’t be doing any preaching. Mostly, I’ll share scripture and insights from my morning Bible reading plus a variety of other sources.

I have a couple other blogs. You can find them at the below links.

Basking in God’s love, Becky

p.s. I’m also a writer. Here’s my bio:

Rebecca Carey Lyles grew up in Wyoming, the setting for her Kate Neilson novels. She and her husband, Steve, currently live in Idaho (not to be confused with Iowa!), the beautiful state that borders Wyoming on the west. In addition to writing fiction and nonfiction, she serves as an editor and a mentor to aspiring authors and as a transition coach for women transitioning from prison to “the outside.” “Winds of Freedom” is the sequel to the award-winning first book in the Kate Neilson series, “Winds of Wyoming.”

Becky’s articles and stories have appeared in magazines and compilations. Her nonfiction books, “It’s a God Thing! Inspiring Stories of Life-Changing Friendships” and “On a Wing and a Prayer-Stories from Freedom Fellowship, a Prison Ministry,” are now available in eBook as well as paper formats. Some of her short stories can be found in “Passageways: A Short Story Collection.”

Looking forward to reading ….Could you tell me the names of the books you have written?

    • Thanks, Cindy, for your comment. Good to hear from you again!

My nonfiction books, which can be ordered as eBooks online and in paperback format through Christian bookstores (soon to be available in paper online) are: “It’s a God Thing! – Inspiring Stories of Life-Changing Friendships” and “On a Wing and a Prayer – Stories from Freedom Fellowship, a Prison Ministry.”

My novel, “Winds of Wyoming – A Kate Neilson Novel,” will debut in eBook format this month. The publisher has scheduled the print version for release next spring. I’ll keep you informed!

Thanks for checking out this blog. You might also enjoy reading the other two blogs.

Have a fabulous Christmas celebration! Becky

  2. Hi Becky. Thanks for following me on twitter. Found your sites and I’m impressed. I have a novel with an agent and I’m considering self-publishing my second novel, which has a setting in Wyoming, in Casper. My husband is a bishop and we have several churches in Wyoming, so we get there once or twice a year. Good to get to know you and I’m going to buy one of your books right now!

  3. Thanks, Holly, for commenting and ordering. My son-in-law-to-be is from Casper (October wedding coming up!). I went the publisher route with my first novel but decided to publish “Winds of Freedom” myself. I republished my nonfiction books (“It’s a God Thing!” and “On a Wing and a Prayer”) a couple years ago, so had experience with the process, which isn’t all that complicated. You’ll have to let me know what you decide to do with your book – and what you think of “Winds of Wyoming” (if that’s the book you purchased). 😉
